The more carriers with iPhone reach, the better. Competition only benefits us, the customers.

Don't you have to hit download twice to actually buy it?
Oh well... It's obvious it was a mistake. I'm glad they're getting a refund. Let's just hope that Apple doesn't screw the developer over on it (ie. take out their 30% cut and then expect the developer to foot the $1000 refund) like they did when they pulled GV Mobile from the App Store.

Make it easy to clean, or I'm sticking with my Kensington Trackball. 10 years, the same design. And I can replace the white trackball with my favorite snooker ball.

And Mystikal is correct - I would say actually that around 5 or 6 employees have walked by saying "hello" - I would think they'd put us out of our misery by now if news was bad
Again - fingers crosses!!

From what I see most iPhone owners protect their investment with a case. I.E. you don't see what pretty color you phone is. (the reason i don't care about how my phone looks)

One of the things I used to hate about Windows were those programs that used their own butt-ugly skins. Seems that Lion is moving in that direction as well.
*sigh* I know uniformity went out the window with iTunes, but this is getting ridiculous now.

The perception was that he was not in charge for a few years. If he was in a mansion and not a cave he might have still have a bigger role than we thought. I don't think this will end Al Qaeda but it could slow them down for a while.
I agree ... the question now is ... what role did the people in that mansion play?
this story is just beginning

and that's the best way I can explain it without going into TMI territory.
I think we went passed that line back on page 1.
Agreed. At this point, dXTC, you might as well go ahead with the full details. Make this thread complete...

Dammit. I misread this article title as "Page 3 features" as in the Page 3 of Macrumors we had for April Fools.
You're not alone...you're the third one in this thread to mention it.

If it has any features like Pandora or Last.fm i'll be very interested... albeit I already have those two for free... As long as the 'finding new music' feature is better than the iTunes Mini store, which is down right bad. Bring on a pandora like stream but with intergrated purchasing features, so that you can in a way try before you buy, as well as find more music.
That would work wouldn't it - i know it would get me purchasing more music online. O WAIT! DRM... nevermind ignore this whole post

This will be a thread hand-grenade, but let's face it - depending on her/your/our healthcare situation, you kindof are paying for this. ...
...I'm all for personal freedoms and not letting people tell others what to do with their bodies, but I don't want to subsidize stupid behavior like this. I say make her carry her own weight, and I mean that both literally and figuratively.
I don't disagree with you on this. I am by no means whatsoever advocating that everyone should gain a hundred or so pounds just because I happen to like plenty of curves. What this person was hinting at doing is indeed physically dangerous, in fact just as dangerous long-term as a Roux-en-Y gastric bypass or other drastic weight-loss measure.
Thank goodness she recanted her statement afterward. I think she was starting to enjoy the publicity after the first couple of media appearances-- it's not everyday a big girl gets attention, y'know-- but after a while she saw the negative aspect of that publicity and decided it wasn't for her.

I'm pretty sure that any time you use Personal file sharing, you are using AppleTalk.
EDIT: More info... Personal File Sharing is based off of Apple Filing Protocol (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Filing_Protocol). From wikipedia:
I was about to correct your first post (politely) by saying that you can use AFP with AppleTalk disabled.

I have a white 32gb wifi in a sealed box that I want to exchange for a 32GB black AT&T. If anyone wants to trade plus difference in cash, let me know.
Would you be willing to sell it? Since you would have to wait in line to exchange anyways?
I have a friend that is REALLY looking for a 32 gig white one. He leaves back to Arizona in a couple days, it would mean a lot if you considered it.

????? When did this happen? You do realize that 99% of consumers don't follow this stuff that close and have no idea when products are released.
That is why I put a mild sarcasm tag at the end of my post, guess this did not work and I have to use [/sarcasm] to get my point across.

MBP = 4 years old
iMac = 3 years old
And both will be upgraded to Lion. No problems yet , even 1080p content plays well, slight lag to catch up when RWD or FF other than that no problems. :)
mine completely chokes at 1080p unless im real lucky. Again 720p is usually okay, but if the processor is getting a workout, it can struggle.

As someone who uses MS word as the default word processor... a 'word processing' mode in Pages sounds dandy... some of use just don't have the time or inclination (energy) to learn pages which is so very different (not worse) than word....

Gotta say I disagree with you on that, I've always thought good quality clobber is worth the money.
Just for why is that I'm facing a new wardrobe after eleven+ years service from the last (I tend to do things periodically) when I had a half dozen suits made up and some good shoes. As for the suits they hang better than anything off the peg to this day and I'll get a couple more years out of them yet (the cut and full canvassing mean that you save money on the price per wear basis as well as being continuously better turned out). Its really win, win, win (especially if you like to support skilled local crafts &c.)
Personally I like wearing the same clothes for years- my shoes probably have seen thousands of miles and get more comfortable with every step (I like having a cobbler too- even if he's only seen two pairs from a rotation of three over a decade:eek:). Similarly shirts just get better until they turn into mufti (I rotate shirts and treat them well so easily get 3+ years until the collars/cuffs fray past the 'would you be happy to meet the Queen in that?' point- fortunately thats when I luv 'em the most!)
I suppose its diffrent strokes/ diffrent folkes, but I really don't get the whole sweatshop/ single use/ el cheapo clothes, nor the crassness of expensive branded clothes with a only slightly longer life. Not a value judgement, but really don't see any worth in doing it this way. /2p

But at least the sidebar is improved in a useful way. I hate how the text on the current sidebar hangs to the side of the images, taking up valuable width.
So instead, the new sidebar pushes into the image, reducing it in size, and requiring you to expand the width ( ) of the window if you want to keep the image the same size. I don't really see the overall difference. I suppose it comes down to whether you prefer the images to get slightly smaller, or the tray to suddenly cover over other things.
