Introduce a new process of filing 485 for administrative processing (which is in talks) even before your PD is current as per visa bulletin as soon as 140 approval.
I see this good for people waiting to file for 485.

When I took VISA and entered into Mexico and asked Mexican Immigration Officer please stamp my passport as I entered in Mexico, but he said if you are in Mexico for less than 72 hours then you don't need to take VISA or special permission if your stay is going to more than 72 hours then you need to take visiting VISA...I took it because I was going with my entire family...but I knew my collegues went to Mexico for stamping..without taking any Mexico VISA..hope this helps..if you need any additional info please let me know.

The person I spoke to suggested that I go to the consulate in New York. I tried calling the consulate in NY, however, I could not get to speak with anyone there. They had an automated message that lists the things required for the stamping, the visa fee ($36), etc.,
However, no info if I have to schedule an appointment, how long they require to process the application.
Does anyone here have an experience with the Mexican tourist visa stamping?

Regarding your I-140 approval notice, if you can get your case # from your lawyer, I guess you can request for a copy of I-140 approval notice from USCIS. Try to get your case #/receipt number. In my case, I got the I-140 approval letter from USCIS. What I know is that USCIS sent a copy to your address as well as to your lawyer. Did you change your address after applying for I-140? The approval notice cannot be forwarded to a new address.

You should be fine. I have been in the exact same situation did not have any problems excepting secondary inspection in which no questions were asked.

I know that nobody has an answer for my question, but still i would like to get the views/inputs from the seniors here , who have experience with USCIS.
When do you think a person with PD of Nov 2007 ,EB3 from India, would be able to file for 485??
As Lacrosse said most probably 3-4 years but you never know .. you can get lucky like this year when USCIS made everything current for July . If a month like that comes along then you would be able to file for AOS .
A miracle can happen but if it doesn't your wait time could be anything from 3 - 5 years or

After you come back, you get your extension approved. i always start a drawing or anything, with primitives. Usually circles and curves because they are organik..if i want something more rigid i uses cubes...then i try to visualize that primitives potential and how i can link it to something else alter in the composition...after i do that 1 of 2 things happen, I either do it or i get scared ima ruin it and just go work on something else.

My H1B was filed with job title "RF Engineer" which comes under "Electrical Engineering" in 2004. My first 3-year term on H1 expires this year end and employer needs to file for renewal for next 3-year term.
My LC as well as 140 were applied and are approved for the position of "Electronics Engineer" which is my current position.
Essentially Electronics Engineer position is a superset of RF Engineer/Electrical Engineer positions, job duties are pretty much the same.
So now when I apply for my H1B renewal/extension does employer have to write the current position (Electronics engr) or the position on which H1B was filed first (RF engr)?
Any inputs appeciated...

I like your thoughts
I would want a faster GC for many things
a) Spouse can work in any field. People can be talented in many other skills but cannot work because of EAD factor.
b) I can go out of country any time. There are lot of checks at embassy and I am with them that they need to check all about me or anyone, but it takes months to get clearance and I cannot leave my job. Nor the job would keep me with 4 month vacation .Many of my friends have gone through this.
